Preston Hollow neighbor Eliza Solender has helped professional theater group Uptown Players find their new home.
As the only professional LGBTQ+ centered theater in Dallas (and one of the largest in the nation), the group will move its rehearse space from Kalita Humphreys Theater to the Design District. The space has 3,992-square-feet for offices, rehearsals, set construction and a costume shop.
Solender, president of Solender/Hall, Inc., is representing Uptown Players, including executive producers Jeff Rane and Craig Lynch, in the deal. It was initially set to be a leasing arrangement, but the owner Quadrant Investment Properties has agreed to lease with an option to purchase deal.
“It’s centrally located in the Design District and near other creative businesses. Also, having the option to purchase it will give Uptown Players flexibility now and in the future. Plus, the area has its own association with management and security—unusual in the Design District,” Solender said in the press release.
Solender/Hall has helped nonprofits, like Uptown Players, buy, sell and lease real estate since 1991. More information can be found here.
