About The Project

The Issue

Find at least two acres of land near the Oak Lawn area close to its current support services locations to build or repurpose an existing building for LGBTQIA+ affordable senior housing.

The Solution

Solender/Hall located and assisted in assembling a two-acre site near Dallas’ Oak Lawn neighborhood that also provides access to services and transportation, another criteria. According to the Resource Center, “Through providing seniors with affirming opportunities for socialization, recreation, and emotional support, the Center’s vision is to transform the way LGBTQIA+ older adults live, access services, and develop community support for generations to come.”
