About The Project

The Issue

Find a centrally located property for the Dallas Children’s Theater (DCT) with enough room for administrative offices, theater, storage, scene shop, education classes and ample parking.

The Solution

Solender/Hall identified a former bowling alley that met all the needs for Dallas Children’s Theater near the Lake Highlands area. With some vision, Solender/Hall showed how DCT could convert the space into what they needed to become the largest professional family theater in the Southwest. Now, DCT actors and actresses bowl over their audiences with their award-winning productions, touring company, theater academy and arts-in-education programs for local schools.
